Liquid Waste Transporters
Permit Required
The Water Department maintains a list of permitted transporters that are allowed to haul liquid wastes within the City of Lake Worth. The types of liquid wastes include grease, grit, septic tank, and chemical toilet wastes. A Transporter must apply for a permit with the City before hauling grease interceptor waste, grit trap waste, septic tank waste or chemical toilet waste.
Transporters who fail to obtain a permit may be subject to penalties of up to $2,000 per violation per day. Liquid waste haulers must also register with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) before permitting with the City. All permitted vehicles are required to display the City issued Lake Worth Permit Sticker at the back on the tank (the sticker shoes the permitted year and City logo).
