Myrt Fowlkes -  

Ms. Fowlkes has resided in the City of Lake Worth since January 1940 and graduated from Lake Worth High School  She has previously served as a Trustee on the Lake Worth Independent School District  School Board from 1989 through 1998.  She has always been active in school and community projects.  At present she is a member of the Northwest Tarrant Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Worth Lions Club, Kids and Tress Program at Effie Morris Elementary School, and the Lions Club. Ms. Fowlkes also participates in the Kiwanis "Christmas  Express" program and the Bullfrog Festival.

Retired from the U.S. Civil Service as a Procurement Agent (500th MI Group at Ford Island Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Hawaii; R & D Dept at Eglin AFG, Fla; and 9th AF Headquarters at Shaw AFB, SC)

Her husband, Earl, also grew up in Lake Worth and is active in community affairs.  Together they have one spoiled Chinese Pug name George Bush.   Ms. Fowlkes has three grown children (all graduates from Lake Worth High School).

Ms Fowlkes states "I am very interested in seeing that our city continues to grow by attracting more new businesses to our city, the establishment of a museum, and additional parks and recreational facilities for our citizens and youth."
