Position: Mechanic

Department: Maintenance

Starting Pay: $13.28 per hour or higher DOQ, w/Benefits

Description: Performs work necessary to diagnose, make repairs, and administer preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; Valid Class C Texas Driver License; automotive, refrigerant, transmission, and engine certifications; must successfully pass medical examination to meet physical requirements of position; must successfully pass drug screen and CCH background check.

Position: Auxiliary Firefighter

Department: Fire

Starting Pay: $11,099.92 Annually w/TMRS participation (no other benefits)

Description: Performs participatory work of considerable difficulty in the administrative service division relating to fire suppression, emergency medical rescue and hazardous materials operations.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; Valid Class B Exempt Texas drivers' license or CDL, or capable of obtaining said license within 90 days of employment; Certified or Certifiable Texas Paid Firefighter preferred; Certified Emergency Medical Technician; must pass medical examination and drug screen.  No more than three hazardous moving violations in last two years & NO license suspensions in last two years.  Must possess completion and pass certificate from Tarrant County Regional Fire Academy's physical ability test or obtain within first six months of employment.
