Position: Water/Sewer Technician

Department: Public Works

Compensation: $12.42 per hour or higher DOQ w/Benefits

Description: Performs work necessary for the maintenance and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, wells, pump stations and customer water and sewer service lines, lift stations and sewer mains ensuring all safety regulations are followed to maintain public health.  

Education: High School Diploma or GED; some construction related experience and plumbing knowledge is preferred; must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment used in the maintenance of water & sewer systems; basic knowledge of materials used in water & sewer systems. 

Additional Requirements: Must pass a medical examination, drug screen and CCH background check; valid Class C Texas driver license; ability to obtain a Class C water license and Class I wastewater license within 2 years of employment.


Position: Municipal Court Clerk - Part time (18 hours per week)

Department: Municipal Court

Compensation: $10.06 per hour

Description: Provides clerical assistance necessary to process various criminal and civil complaints and assists in the overall operation of the Municipal Court.  This position does not require more than 100 hours per year.  This position is not benefit eligible.

Examples: Duties include but are not limited to the following: maintains and updates court records; updates information in the computer daily; composes and prepares correspondence relevant to complaints, citations, judgments, and deliquent notices; prepares documentation for complaints and warrants; prepares regular mailings of notices; maintains and updates complex filing systems, both manual and computerized; performs general receptionist duties, including answering incoming phone calls, providing information and directing callers as necessary; other duties as assigned.

Education: High School diploma or GED; one year related court experience and bilingual are preferred.

Additional Requirements: Valid Class C Texas driver license; must be able to pass CCH background check.
