Position: Water/Sewer Technician
Department: Public Works
Starting Pay: $11.82 - $12.64 per hour DOQ
Education: High School Diploma or GED; some construction related experience and plumbing knowledge is preferred; must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment used in the maintenance of water & sewer systems; basic knowledge of materials used in water & sewer systems.
Description: Performs work necessary for the maintenance and repair of water mains, fire hydrants, wells, pump stations and customer water and sewer service lines, lift stations and sewer mains ensuring all safety regulations are followed to maintain public health.
Requirements: Must pass a medical examination and drug screen; valid Class C Texas drivers' license; ability to obtain a Class C water license and Class I wastewater license within 2 years of employment.

Position: Animal Control Officer - Part Time (20 Hours per week)
Department: Animal Control
Starting Pay: $9.58 per hour
Education: High School Diploma or GED; minimum one year of paid experience related to animal care or control: able to satisfactorily complete Texas Department of Health Basic Animal Control officer course within one year of employment; able to complete a euthanasia course within one year of employment.
Description: Protects residents from and educates the community about stray or vicious animals and related diseases. Operates the animal holding facility. Captures, impounds and disposes of animals.
Requirements: Must pass a drug screen; must possess a valid Class C Texas drivers' license.
