Mayor Walter Bowen
Mayor Bowen has been employed by Bell Helicopter since 1978. He received an Associate’s Degree in fire protection from Tarrant County Community College and is a graduate of Lake Worth High School. A Fort Worth native, he has been an active participant in area youth programs and school fund-raising, and has served as a volunteer fireman. He is a founding member of the Texas Westplex Alliance of Communities (TWAC) where he served as President of the organization. He and his wife Pat have three grown children and three grandchildren. Term Expires May 2011

Mayor Walter Bowen was first elected Mayor for the City of Lake Worth in May 1995. Prior to his election as Mayor, Bowen served on the City Council since October of 1971.|
