Linda Rhodes is the City Secretary for the City of Lake Worth.  She has over 29 years of municipal experience.  Prior to joining the City of Lake Worth in February 2002, she was employed with the City of Kennedale.  She has an Associates in Applied Science degree in office careers and has the following certifications: (1) Texas Registered Municipal Clerk (TRMC), No. 476--state recognized certification through the Texas Municipal Clerks Association (TMCA), and (2) Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC)--internationally recognized certification through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC).  She is a member of the North Texas Municipal Clerks Association (NTMCA), which is a Chapter of TMCA.  She has served on the NTMCA board as Historian, Treasurer, Vice-President, and President.  She has served in various committees for both NTMCA and TMCA.  She is actively seeking re-certification to maintain her state TRMC through TMCA and is working towards the Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) status through IIMC.  In 2009, she was the recipient of the prestigeous award of "Municipal Clerk of the Year" for the North Texas area of municipal clerks/city secretaries.  She is also a member of the Athenian Leadership Society (ALS) through the IIMC and has achieved the "fellow" status in this group.  The NTMCA, TMCA, and IIMC all are groups of educational opportunities for the city secretary profession.
