Ken West retired from the Hurst Police Department after 26 years as the Patrol Commander before becoming the Chief of Police with the City of Hudson Oaks. After 5 ½ years as a Police Chief Ken decided he wanted to expand his work in municipal government and came to work for the City of Lake Worth. Ken has a Bachelors Degree from Letourneau University in Business Administration and a Masters Degree from Columbia Southern University in Public Administration. Ken management style and philosophy includes the ideals of personal and professional accountability. He encourages and demands inter-personal cooperation and civility and leadership by example.
Ken has been married to his wife Ginny for 39 years and they have 3 sons. Ken and Ginny have a lake home on Lake Granbury and they spend most weekends there working on their home and hope to eventually retire there. Ken enjoys snow skiing and fly fishing in his spare time.
