Barry Barber
Building Official

Barry Barber is currently serving as the Building Official for the City of Lake Worth and has more than twenty years of construction experience. Barry joined the team at the City of Lake Worth in March of 2004 as the commercial Building Inspector, and in February of 2007 was promoted to the position of Building Official. Prior to joining the City of Lake Worth, Barry was the Senior Building Inspector for the City of Saginaw.

Barry was born in May of 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Boswell High School in Fort Worth and graduated in 1985.  Barry married in 1996 to his wife Leisa and they currently reside in the Eagle Mountain area of Fort Worth. They have four children, Kristen, Brett, Brittany and Brigan; in their free time they enjoy their children’s sports and are active in the community.
