Mission:
It is the mission of the Maintenance Department to provide the City of Lake Worth staff with safe and well-maintained equipment and facilities needed to complete all required tasks.
Vision:
To become more efficient and productive, by reducing the amount of water and using new techniques. The addition of preventive programs on buildings will increase the life or existing assets.
This portion of the Public Works Department is responsible for our Fire Station, Senior Citizen Building, Police Department, Library, City Hall, and several other city buildings. Facility management includes a wide spectrum of craft, professional and technical skills and knowledge.

A systematic program, that assures equipment reliability over a period of time.

Objectives

Provide improved maintenance at lower cost to the City of Lake Worth.

Obtain more effective utilization of maintenance personnel, through improved schedule planning.

Minimize the number of unavoidable breakdowns and thereby increase availability and utilization of equipment.

Provide for improved planning and scheduling to cope with peak periods and scheduling maintenance during slack periods.

Provide for more stable maintenance labor force.

Develop equipment records and historical repair service requirements for improving planned maintenance.
