Lake Worth Police Department Community Outreach Coffee with a Cop

Coffee with a Cop

The best conversations often occur around a great cup of coffee. That's why we routinely meet up with friends and neighbors at local coffee shops to discuss things that matter to our community. No agenda. No pretense. Just genuine conversation. Our motto for this program is simple: Real People. Real Relationships. Check out our social media accounts for information on our next Coffee with a Cop event.

Pops With Cops

Held annually each summer, this program is focuses entirely on gathering together in one of our beautiful city parks to play games, listen to music, and of course - enjoy a popsicle! This event is 100% free to the community; funded entirely by money lawfully seized from drug dealers and other criminal offenders. Lake Worth Police Department Pops with Cops

Prescription Drug Collection

In partnership with CVS Health, LWPD is proud to offer residents a safe and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted, unused or expired medication (including controlled substances). By disposing of unneeded medicine, residents can decrease the potential for prescription drug abuse, especially among young people. The drug collection unit is conveniently located in the lobby of the Police Department which is open to the public on weekdays from 8-5.

For more information on the Medicine Disposal for Safe Communities Program, please call 1-866-559-8830 or visit this website.

Vacation House Check

As a service to the citizens of the City of Lake Worth, the Lake Worth Police Department offers free vacation house checks.  Patrol Officers will periodically check the exterior of your home while you are away.  This service helps to deter potential burglars and provides for additional security while your house is unoccupied.

This service is not recommended for citizens that have friends or family that will be at the residence regularly for such things as yard work, caring for animals or using the amenities at the residence.

If you are interested and will be on vacation for at least one week, but not more than two weeks, you can sign-up for this service by completing a Vacation House Check form and returning it to Lake Worth Police Department prior to leaving on vacation. Forms are also available at Lake Worth Police Department.
