Department: Public Works
Compensation: $13.46 per hour or higher DOQ w/Benefits (Employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, & FreshBenies with TMRS participation @ 2:1)
Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED; construction-related experience is preferred; experience with a backhoe, crack sealer, dump truck, front-end loader, and jackhammer is preferred.
Requirements: Must pass CCH background check, medical examination and drug screen; valid Class C Texas driver license.
Description: Performs work necessary for the maintenance and repair of city streets, parking lots, drainage facilities and right-of-ways.
Department: The City of Lake Worth is currently accepting applications from veteran police officers for a full time Patrol Officer vacancy with a modified field training period. Only police officers with an honorable status will be considered for this position.
Compensation: $21.30 to $25.96 per hour DOQ w/Benefits (Employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, & FreshBenies with TMRS participation @ 2:1)
Education: HS Diploma or GED; must have current valid Texas Basic Officer Certification or approved equivalent as accepted by TCOLE.
Requirements: Must pass background check, medical
examination, polygraph, psychological and/or drug
screen if required by the City of Lake Worth and/or the State of Texas; valid Class C Texas driver license.
Description: Enforces federal, state, and local laws and ordinances under general direction. Performs various duties to support law enforcement activities as well as provide service to the citizens in an efficient and professional manner.
Compensation: $12.00 per hour w/Freshbenies
Education: High School Diploma or GED; 18 years of age; TCFP Firefighter Basic Certification; Texas Health Department EMT Certification.
Requirements: Must have valid Texas driver license and be able to obtain Texas Class B license within thirty days; must pass background check, medical examination, and drug screen; no more than three hazardous moving violations in last two years & NO license suspensions in past two years; completion and pass certificate from Tarrant County Regional Fire Academy's physical ability test within the past six months or must obtain within six months of date of hire.
Description: Performs participatory work of considerable difficulty in the administrative service division relating to fire suppression, emergency medical, rescue and hazardous materials operations.
