Q.        If I am a contractor working in the City do I have to be registered?

A.      All contractors must be registered through the city, although not all contractors are required to pay a registration fee. Below is a list of contractors that require a registration fee along with a description of the required information for completing the registration process.

 Plumbing

 Plumbers must be registered to do work in the City of Lake Worth. They must supply a copy of their driver’s license, master plumbing license, certificate of insurance showing the City of Lake Worth as the certificate holder, and a list of personnel authorized to pull permits for the company. The fee of registration is $100.00 and the registration is good for one-year from the date of payment.

Electrical

Electricians must be registered to do work in the City of Lake Worth. They must supply a copy of their driver’s license, reciprocating electrical license, certificate of insurance showing the City of Lake Worth as the certificate holder, and a list of personnel authorized to pull permits for the company. The fee to register is $100.00 and the registration is good for one year from the date of payment.

Mechanical

Mechanical contractors must be registered to do work in the City of Lake Worth. They must supply a copy of their driver’s license, states mechanical license, certificate of insurance showing the City of Lake Worth as the certificate holder, and a list of all personnel authorized to pull permits for the company. The fee to register is $75.00 and the registration is good for one year from the date of payment.
