Mark Cone
Mark Cone is the Fire Chief for the City of Lake Worth. He began his service for the City as a volunteer firefighter in May of 1985. He also began his career as a Fort Worth Firefighter in April of 1985 where he worked in the Operations Division as a Lieutenant. He was hired as the Lake Worth Fire Department’s first paid employee as a part time Fire Marshal in October of 1990 and has served as the Fire Chief since 1991.
A graduate of Lake Worth High School in 1979, he graduated from Texas State Technical College in 1981 with an associate degree in printing. He is a Certified Fire Inspector and a Fire Instructor.
A native of Lake Worth, he and his wife Charme live in Lake Worth with their two children. In their free time, they enjoy their children’s sports and are active in a local church.
