




Information Technology Manager
Mark Ramsey
Mark began service with the city in May 2004. He brought with him over 15 years of information technology experience. He began his career in the US Navy in December 1988, where he held the rank and rating of Electronics Technician 2nd Class (E-5). Mark served as Work Center Supervisor onboard the USS Ogden LPD-5, in Long Beach California, supervising ten technicians and maintaining satellite communications system, surface search radar system, and shipboard computer systems. He is a veteran of the 1991 Gulf War who was honorably discharged from the US Navy in December 1993 after five years of service.
After his departure from the US Navy Mark and his family relocated from Newhall California to Fort Worth Texas in December 1993. Mark worked as a PC bench technician for a company called Computer Fusion starting in January 1994, where he advanced to and worked as an outside service/networking consultant until January 1995. He then ventured out on his own to become an independent consultant. He consulted to Crescent Real Estate and Equities, CRC International, and The Dannon Company from January 1995 until June 1995 when he accepted a full time position with The Dannon Company as a network administrator. He was promoted to Solutions Deployment Specialist in June 1997 where he began providing support in large company-wide software deployment initiatives. He directly supported The Dannon Company's Research and Development and Central Division Sales departments. Additionally he acted as the liaison between The Dannon Company IT department and Dannon sister companies in Canada, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico on various projects. Mark left The Dannon Company in February 2000 to join MMI Internetworking, a web development/internet technologies division of Marketing Management Inc., as the Director of Production.
Mark graduated from Rare Earth High School in Rosamond California in 1988. Upon his successful completion of boot camp in 1989 he attended and graduated from the US Navy Basic Electronics School in Orlando Florida in June 1989. He then attended and graduated the US Navy Advanced Electronics School in Great Lakes Illinois in February 1990 where he received his military rank and rating of Electronics Technician 3rd Class. He successfully completed his rating specialty in satellite communications at US Navel Training station San Diego California in April 1990.
A native of the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles California, he now resides in Fort Worth with his wife and three children.
