Water is billed in thousands of gallons. The amount you are billed is calculated based on your consumption each month. There is a $6.00 ready for service fee plus $2.96 per thousand gallons of consumption. For utility customers outside our city limits the ready for service fee is $9.00 plus $4.44 per thousand gallons of consumption.

Sewer charges are based on winter average water consumption. The averaging months are December, January and February of each year. Your sewer charge includes a $10.28 base charge plus $3.19 per thousand gallons of winter average consumption. For utility customers outside our city limits the base charge is $15.42 plus $4.79 per thousand gallons of winter average consumption. Your new winter average sewer rate will go into effect with your April billing each year. The maximum consumption to be considered in the calculation of your sewer rate is 16,000 gallons. If you ever have a leak during the averaging months causing you to incur greater than normal consumption, please provide copies of your repair bill(s) to the Utility Billing Department with a written request to adjust your winter average consumption for calculation of your sewer rate. Accounts that are not active during the three winter averaging months will pay the city wide average sewer rate until they set their own rate during the next winter averaging period.

Garbage pick up is $7.73 plus tax for regular trash pick up and once a month bulk pick up. If you are disabled and need carry out service, this can be provided at a cost of $5.53 plus tax with documentation from a physician certifying that you are disabled. You can also request elective carry out service if you are not disabled at a cost of $12.41 plus tax.

For utility customers outside our city limits, the ready for service fee is $21.00 plus $6.62 per thousand gallons of consumption.

Sewer charges are based on your water consumption each month. Your sewer charge includes a $15.15 base charge plus $4.24 per thousand gallons of consumption. For utility customers outside our city limits, the base charge is $22.73 plus $6.36 per thousand gallons of consumption. There is no maximum sewer charge for commercial accounts.
