Ryan Arthur

Chief Arthur began his fire service career as a Firefighter/EMT with the City of Allen in 1999. He obtained his paramedic certification from the University of Texas Southwestern in 2002. In 2008, Ryan was employed by the City of Southlake as a Public Safety Officer which carried numerous credentialing requirements including firefighter, paramedic, and peace officer. In 2011, he was promoted to the rank of Fire Lieutenant over the department’s emergency medical services division. In 2014, Ryan achieved the rank of Battalion Chief and served until December of 2018. In December of 2018, Ryan was ultimately selected to fill the role of the newly acquired position of Division Chief over Fire Operations with the City of Lake Worth. In May of 2021, Ryan was selected to become the next Fire Chief for the Lake Worth Fire Department.

Chief Arthur carries numerous certifications including Licensed Paramedic, Master Firefighter, Master Fire Investigator, Fire Instructor III Master, Fire Officer, Hazardous Materials Technician/Incident Commander, Incident Safety Officer, Fire & Life Safety Educator, EMS Instructor/Educator, Incident Commander, Master Peace Officer, and is credentialed as a Blue Card Incident Command Instructor. He is also a graduate of the Texas A&M Mays Business School, Fire Service Chief Executive Officer program and the Texas Fire Chiefs Academy. Chief Arthur has also completed the Certified Public Manager program hosted by Texas State University.

Chief Arthur has an Associate of Science degree in paramedicine, a Bachelor of Science degree in fire administration, and a Master of Emergency Services Management/Public Administration degree. Chief Arthur is a proud member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs and Texas Fire Chiefs Association.

Jeremy Blackwell
Assistant Chief/Fire Operations 
Div Chief

Jeremy Blackwell comes to Lake Worth Fire Department with 27 years of service in Public Safety.  He started his service in Branson Missouri.  He served with the City of Branson Fire Department where he promoted to Fire Captain of the Truck Company.  He served with the Taney County Fire Protection District as a Rescue Specialist and the Springfield Fire Department as and Springfield Fire Department.  He eventually moved to Texas where he continued his service with the City of Southlake.  Jeremy served the City of Southlake as a Firefighter Paramedic, Public Safety Officer, Training Supervisor for Police and Fire, Driver/Engineer, Fire Lieutenant, and Battalion Chief of Training/ EMS and Special Response Teams.  He is a TDSHS Licensed Paramedic, TCFP Advanced Firefighter, and TCOLE Master Peace Officer.  He also maintains his Nationally Registry Paramedic.

Jeremy was born and raised in Oklahoma.  He graduated from Moore High School.  He went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma Baptist University. After college, he moved to Branson Missouri to work as a full-time Camp Director with Kanakuk Kamps. 

He is a former Adjunct Instructor with the University of Missouri Columbia - Fire Extension, and Drury University.  He currently serves on the Methodist Southlake Medical Center, Advisory Board.  He is also a member and former President of the Fire Instructors Association of North Texas.

Jennifer (Jen) Nieder
Emergency Management Coordinator 
EMC

Jennifer (Jen) Nieder is the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Lake Worth and City of Saginaw. She's a Navy Veteran and former LPN. Jen has spent several years working in disaster response and mitigation, both as a volunteer and employee for Team Rubicon. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Emergency Management and holds over 20 FEMA credentials and certifications. Jen has been married to her newly retired Navy Master Chief husband for 28 years. They have three grown daughters who make them proud each and every day.
