Customers Right to Request Disclosure

Notice of Disclosure of Water Customer Information:  

In compliance with House Bill 872, passed by the 87th Texas Legislature on April 21, 2021; personal information and information regarding customer usage, services, and billing, including amounts billed or collected for utility usage is deemed confidential. 

This form enables you to request disclosure of certain information under Texas Utilities Code, Chapter 182. Disclosure requests must be submitted in writing and in person. If you wish to disclose your information, please fill out the disclosure form and return it to the Lake Worth Utility Billing Department. Once the request is received and processed, the Lake Worth Utility Billing Department can disclose the information to the authorized person(s) only. 

Exceptions:

1. Government officials acting in an official capacity;
2. Utility representatives acting in connection with their duties;
3. Consumer reporting agencies;
4. Contractors or subcontractors who need the information to do their jobs;
5. Individuals for whom the customer has waived confidentiality (must be in writing); or
6. Another entity that provides water, wastewater, sewer, gas, garbage, electricity, or drainage service for compensation. (People in these categories will be required to show identification before the information will be released)
