Animal Shelter Advisory Committee
The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee was created by the City Council in July 2017 to assist the City in complying with the requirements of Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 823.
The committee members shall be appointed by a majority vote of the City Council and shall serve two-year terms; consisting of one (1) licensed veterinarian, one (1) municipal official, one (1) person whose duties include the daily operation of an animal shelter, one (1) representative from an animal welfare organization, and one (1) Lake Worth citizen.
