- Keep your pets hydrated.
- During a heat advisory, dogs should be let out only to relieve themselves.
- Cats should always be kept indoors.
- Provide them with adequate shelter when outside.
- Make sure they have access to drinking water.
- Close all nuisance animal traps during extreme heat.
- Don’t leave your pet in the car.
- Animal tethering is prohibited during a heat advisory.
